Vivisectors would have you believe that your health depends on animal experiments...

Having been forcefed with alcohol for a year, this dog was killed to prove what is already known; that too much alcohol is bad for the liver.

This monkey is being forced to prove what has already been established by years of clinical and statistical research;  that smoking causes lung cancer.

LIFESTYLE =

LIFE: A living being.
   +
STYLE: A particular distinctive or characteristic mode of action.

Our lifestyles reflect what happens in society today. What we eat, do and wear affects all animals in some way. Many diseases like cancer, heart disease , diabetes and stroke are linked to our lifestyle and are therefore largely preventable.  There are safe alternative medicines available, such as homoeopathic and herbal treatments.

CANCER

It has been known for many years that 80% of cancers are related to lifestyle and are therefore preventable. These factors include smoking, alcohol, meat and fatty foods, drugs, pollutants, food additives, industrial chemicals and ultra-violet rays. Before 1914 epidemiology (association of disease with lifestyle and the environment) had identified several causes of cancer e.g. pipe smokers were prone to lip cancers and radiologists had an increased risk of skin cancers. However vivisectionists became obsessed with animal experiments.

HEART DISEASE

This is the number one killer in the western world and is linked to poor diet combined with stress, alcohol, smoking and lack of exercise. These factors cannot be reproduced in a laboratory. Heart disease will not be cured through animal experimentation.

INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND VACCINATIONS

People have been led to believe that diseases like polio, smallpox, tuberculosis, measles, diphtheria and many more, were eradicated by drugs and vaccines that were validated by animal tests. History proves that this is not so. Since the 1850s there has been a massive decline in death rates (up to 90%) from these diseases due to improvements in sanitation, personal hygiene, diet and living conditions. This occured before the introduction of drugs and vaccines.
People in developing countries need clean water and food - not  drugs.

A FUTURE WITHOUT ANIMAL TESTS

Vivisectors would have you believe that your health depends upon animal experiments. This simply isn't true. We are responsible for what we do to our bodies.

Should animals pay the price for our lifestyles?

To ban animal testing would not be detrimental to our health. It could only lead to a healthier, more optimistic life. Vivisection is simply a matter of economics and politics.

Treating disease is enormously profitable. Prevention is not.

  • Only pressure from you will stop these tests. Public opposition will lead to the abolition of evil and unnecessary experiments. Ask yourself these questions:
  • Do I want my taxes to fund cruelty to animals?
  • How does mutilation of animals find cures for humans?
